Portfolio
The total stock-market value of a company, calculated as the current share price multiplied by the number of outstanding shares.
Market capitalisation (market cap) is calculated by multiplying the current share price by the number of outstanding shares. It represents a company's stock-market value.
Companies are classified by market cap: - Large cap: over 10 billion EUR (e.g., SAP, Siemens, Allianz) - Mid cap: 2–10 billion EUR - Small cap: under 2 billion EUR
In market-cap-weighted indices (the standard for most ETFs), larger companies carry a higher weight. This leads to a natural concentration in the largest companies.
